How can I get my cat to use the paw pit?
If your cat is a little hesitant about the paw pit concept, try showing them the motions by “pawing” out a few pellets. Show your cat what the product is for. Have patience, as it may take a few days for them to get accustomed to it.

Can I serve wet food in the paw pit?
Technically you can, but we don’t recommend it. The paw pit is ideally used for dry food only, as cats can paw kibble out more easily than wet food, without making a mess.

Can my cat acces the storage compartment?
The Multi Feeder top can only be removed by lifting it straight up. It will require a lot of skill and determination for cats to open. If your cat is adventurous this way, try packing the stored food so they can’t possibly smell what’s inside – its contents will seem less appealing.

Does my cat have whisker stress?
A cat’s whiskers send feedback on distance, direction and even the surface texture of objects. While this is most useful for navigation, cats prefer to eat in peace and quiet, and if their whiskers are constantly touching the surface of the bowl this can be irritating and excessively stimulating to their senses, a syndrome known as whisker stress. If you notice your cat is putting off eating from their bowl, even though he or she is visibly hungry, they may be experiencing whisker stress.

My cat is on the chubby side. Will this feeder help her lose weight?
If your cat needs to lose weight, perhaps you should consult a veterinarian for dietary advise. The Multi Feeder can help slow down your cat’s pace during meals, but they will need healthy, balanced nutrition and frequent exercise to really make a difference.
